Open School Policies 2009-2010

                       

School Year:        The School year runs from the September 8, 2009 through May 15, 2010.

 

Tuition:  Tuition is based on the number of classes per month per child. Tuition is paid in nine equal monthly installments, which

are due and payable on the first of the month. First and last month’s tuition is paid at time of registration. Payment is by check,

cash, credit card or debit card. Monthly tuition can be paid in person or mailed to The Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance

10400D Alpharetta Hwy. Bldg. D, Roswell, GA 30075.

 

Late Fees ;  A late fee of $10.00 will be charged for all tuition received after the 10th. Statements will be sent on delinquent
accounts only.

 

Registration: Existing open school students are pre registered first, then new students. A non-refundable registration fee

of $20.00 per child is due at registration.

 

Family Discount: Multiple open school siblings can combine hours from the open school program to calculate tuition.

 

Absence: There are no refunds for classes not attended regardless of reason. Classes missed may be made up within four
weeks in a similar class.

 

Withdrawal: Thirty (30) days written notice is required for all withdrawing students or students wishing to drop a class.

Tuition will continue to accrue until 30 days past the receipt of the written notice regardless of attendance.                                                 

 

School Closing: The school will be closed for Thanksgiving Holidays Nov. 25-29, 2009, Christmas Holidays
Dec. 21-Jan. 3, 2010
and Spring Break April 5-12, 2010 in accordance with the Fulton County public school calendar.

There will be classes during all other school holidays and teacher work days.

 

Returned Checks:  There will be a $25.00 fee for all returned checks.

 

Watch Days: We will have annual watch days during the month of January and February. The specific dates will be published
in the January newsletter.

 

Recital: The annual Spring Recitals will be held at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Each dancer will receive 2 tickets per
class taken. This is an optional activity and requires the payment of a costume/recital fee. Dress rehearsal and recitals
dates for this year are as follows.  Dress Rehearsal will be April 26-30, 2010 and Recitals will be May 14, 15 & 16, 2010
Please keep these dates open, as no special requests will be taken this year.

 

Costume and Recital Fee: The costume and recital fee is $95.00. This covers costumes, theatre rental, backdrop rental,
lighting, programs, and teachers. Additional costumes will be $85.00 for the second and $75.00 for any additional
costumes per family. This fee will be due the first week of November. All costume and recital fees are non-refundable.
No child will receive a costume until fee is paid and tuition is current. If fee is paid after November 1 there will be a $10.00
 late fee added for each costume.  If paid after December 1 there will be a $20.00 late fee added for each costume.

 

Performances:   Open School students may audition for “The Nutcracker”. The performance fee is $100.00 per child
which covers all rehearsals and costume rental.

 

Inclement Weather: The school may close if Fulton County Schools are closed due to weather.  Please call the school
voice mail to determine if classes are canceled.  There will be no refunds on your tuition for these missed classes; you may
make up the classes you missed within four weeks.

 

Messages:  Our school voice mail (770-998-0259) is on 24 hours per day. Please leave a message for your teacher
and it will be returned as soon as possible.  You may also email us at tysdance@bellsouth.net.

                       

Arrival/ Departure: Students are to be dropped at the front door and picked up at the rear door. Younger students may
be walked in by their parents. No student should arrive more than 15 minutes before the beginning of class. 
Your child should be picked up directly after their class; a fee of $15.00 will be added to your tuition if your child is not
picked up on time. All students should wear cover up over their dance clothes.
