Nancy Tolbert Yilmaz, Artistic Director

Nancy Tolbert Yilmaz is the artistic director and founder of the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance. Mrs. Tolbert Yilmaz has studied with Robert Joffrey, David Howard, Pittman Corry, Igor Schwezoff, and Gabriela Taub-Darbash. She was a featured performer in the opening and closing ceremonies for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games; she has also performed and worked with Sid and Mary Krofft Productions, Walt Disney Productions, Southern Ballet of Atlanta, Cobb-Marietta, Donny and Marie Osmond, Peggy Fleming, Ernest Borgnine, and Tony Orlando. She was one of the 1984-5 Nominees of the Georgia Governors Awards in the Arts and is listed in the 1989-90, 1991-2, and 1998-9 Who’s Who in Entertainment.

Mary Lynn Taylor, Associate Director

Mary Lynn Taylor is the associate director of the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance. began her dance training at the Atlanta School of Ballet. Mrs. Taylor graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, having majored in ballet and minored in theatre arts. Mrs. Taylor performed with the Fort Worth Ballet Company and directed the ballet division of the Redon Cudney Performing Arts Academy before joining the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance teaching staff. She has taught ballet for thirty-three years, twenty-eight at the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance. She is listed in the 1998-9 Who’s Who in Entertainment.
